Dr Jonathan You

Dr You has worked in General Practice in the North Shore area (Lindfield) since 2004, providing all aspects of General Medical Practice including paediatrics and men's health, in addition to performing minor procedures. Dr You is a Sydney University graduate with Diploma in Child Health and is an accredited teacher and clinical tutor of medical students.

Dr You is blingual, fluent in English and Korean

Dr James Shin (Starting 21.3)

Dr James Shin was born and raised in Sydney, graduated from the Sydney University Medical School in 2015 and then worked at various hospitals in and around Sydney for several years before moving to General Practice.

He enjoys all aspects of General Practice and strives to deliver high quality, holistic, patient-centred healthcare; delivering up to date evidence based care to all his patients with special interests in Paediatrics, Dermatology (including Skin Checks, Minor Skin Procedures, Skin Biopsies and Excisions), Sports Medicine, CTP/Work Cover Injuries and Chronic and Complex Disease Management.

Dr James Shin works with the Penrith Panther’s Rugby League junior teams as a team doctor. Dr James Shin is also fluent in Korean.

He will be starting here with us on the 22 March.

Dr Valerie Tung

Dr Valerie Tung graduated from University of NSW in 2012 having attended Abbotsleigh Senior School, and has been a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners since 2017. 
She aims to provide evidence-based medicine and provide exceptional care for her patients. 
Dr Tung has extensive experience in women's and children's health. When she is not chasing after her two boys she loves to go horse riding.

Dr Yik Choon Chong

Dr Chong is a Sydney University graduate and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Having worked as a General Practitioner since 2008, with a special interest in geriatric medicine and chronic disease management, he sees patients regularly in nursing homes.

Dr. Chong is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Dr Zobaida Akhter

Dr Zobaida Akhter enjoys working in all areas of general practice, having graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine/Surgery (MBBS) in 2000, and obtaining her Fellowship of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2016.  Her special interests are chronic disease management, paediatrics, women’s health, in addition to skin cancer management, and performs minor procedures that include suturing/laceration repair, removal of foreign bodies and sebaceous cysts, and ingrown toenail surgery.  With extensive training in obstetrics and gynaecology, Dr Akhter is able to perform insertion and removal of Mirena (IUD) and Implanon. 

Dr Akhter loves to be a part of the community to encourage preventative health, immunisations, heart health checks and annual check-ups.  As a mother of two kids, she loves to travel, read, watch movies, and also performs poem recitation.

Dr Akhter is bilingual, fluent in English and Bengali, and can also understand Hindi and Urdu.
